Help shape the future of itslearning

Please share your ideas with the community, and contribute by voting and commenting on other ideas – the more votes the more influence! We consider all ideas when planning future work. Please write in English. For support, please contact your school/organization.

  1. As we review all ideas it may take some time before they appear. Unfortunately we cannot comment on all ideas.
  2. Please search for your idea first and vote for it! Do not create new suggestions if they already exist. It reduces your influence.
  3. Unclear or inappropriate suggestions are removed. We may combine your ideas with similar ideas.
  4. We only use the information you share for the purposes of improving itslearning. We want to keep the ideas portal dynamic and relevant, to do this we remove older suggestions.
    • Ideas that have no public engagement after three years, that were not selected for development, are removed.
    • Ideas older than three years and not selected for implementation are removed.
    • Ideas can be resubmitted at any time.

Give instant feedback in tests

It would be handy to give specifications to students, while they are taking the test. If they have an incorrect answer, the system could show a message, that the teacher has wrote. At the moment the student only has the possibility to see the correct answer after taking the test, but there is no feedback.

E.g in chemistry, there could be a question about the elements. If the student chooses Ag instead of Au in defining "gold", the system could instantly give you feedback that says: "that is silver, Au is the correct answer".

    Hi.

Thanks for explaining further. We will share it with the relevant teams and consider it for future development. We will keep the suggestion on the ideas portal to see if it gets more ‘up votes’. This helps us understand which ideas are most popular.

    Thanks,
    The itslearning Product Team.

I've tried the directions posted by H. Gjellesvik on April 2, 2017 however it only allows a generic comments applied to all questions.  I can't customize feedback by question.  Our district is in the US and using version 3.105.0.365

Hi, this is possible in the test tool today :-)

When setting up the test: click Options tab, select Forward only, select On question or On alternatives. When you create your questions you can insert a teacher comment for each of the answers the student can select from.

    Please see the attached screenshot.
