Inserting plan in planner will autodelay succeeding plans

In concordance with adaptive teaching, if a subject is difficult you may have to use more time than planned. This creates a lot of extra work if using the planner tool, since all subsequent plans have to be delayed manually. It would be better if all plans shifted automatically to a later point in time.

Possible solution 1: When inserting new plan in place of an excisting plan, or extending an excisting plan, teacher is given the option to atutodelay following plans. If opted, content of subsequent plans are delayed to the next avaiable date in the subject. For example, a subject has plans for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th of a month. Teacher insert a new plan the 2nd. The original content the 2nd is automatically shifted to the 3rd, content the 3rd is automatically shifted to the 4th. The teacher only has to provide a new date for the original content last in the sequence, the 4th. An overview of changes is shown, and teacher has to accept for the changes to take place.

Possible solution 2: The planner uses the calender to autodelay all plans to the next available point in time (planner must be linked to calendar).

    Hi Frank,

Thanks for sharing your thought with the community. We’re currently working on creating a smoother course work flow for back to school 2017. The Planner is an important part in this puzzle, and we’ll consider your idea moving forward.

I would really like more comments on this idea from other user, because I’m not sure how big problem it is…Having a detailed plan for a long period of time can give the pain you describe, but my impression is that most users fill in the details as they move forward.

    Best regards
