Ability to use LTI Result as pre condition for the next step in a learning path

We would like to have the ability to use the result of our LTI source as pre condition for the next step in a learning path.

As a result the student only proceeds to the next step if the LTI source result is succes.

Now the learning path the only pre condition for a LTI source is "viewed".

Thanks for the information, we understand the (technical) challange.

What about making the selection of a LTI-tool with outcome result the responsibility of the learning path designer?  (optional outcome enabling setting in the Add LTI page e.g.)

Organisations then have a choice of using is this way, in our situation the teacher creates and tests the learning path so if they have selected the correct LTI-tool with outcome there's no problem.

Great idea, no doubt about it, and absolutely something we would like to support.

The challenge we’re facing is that we don’t know if the LTI item returns a result. It does not seem possible to identify that. There are many items where LTI is only used to authorize the user. If we allow the teacher to set that the student should only move to the next step if they score X, the student would get stuck if the LTI item doesn’t return a result.

So far we haven’t found a way to know in advance that the LTI item added to the learning path will return a grade. And until we do, we’re reluctant to open the ‘branching’ up for LTI. Hope you understand and agree.

We have a lot of votes now. When we could expect a reaction? Thanks.
