Whilst the decision to not allow learning pathways to be placed in folders is understandable, it can present problems for courses which consist of multiple units, learning outcomes and assessment criteria. Some units are very large and some courses consist of 20+ units so it is impractical to use learning pathways at a unit level. It would be beneficial to our College if learning pathways could be allowed even just one more layer lower down the folder structure than they are at the moment. That way they could more easily be dedicated to outcomes and/or criteria without over-complicating the course structure.
