Please could we have the option to turn on and off a teachers First name as it is fairly unprofessional having students referring to teachers in this manner.
Kay Edwards vs Mrs Edwards for example. Students refer to teachers by their last name in school.

I think this is culture based, for example I live in Finland as a student and we call our teachers by their first name all the time and it is not considered unprofessional or rude. I agree with another answer in here that if this were to be added in Itslearning it should be optional and not mandatory or default.
It seems both medieval and very sad to continue such a practise. As Oscar said, it would be far more beneficial if people learned to balance their relations and treat each other as equal. Students are far more willing to learn this way. There would be far better things to consider than this.
Such an OLD way of thinking.. It is the 21st century! Stop the hierarchy treatments, and try being a human no more - nor less than any other student or teacher. It will promote great relations between students and teachers!
Implement a way of treating each other as equals, as this makes more people happy and less people feeling 'less' than others.
Pardon my language.. however F*CK the honorifics.
It should be made optional, not default.
Waauu this show Culturel differences in first degree :-) In Denmark it would be more common to hide last name :-) No one use anything else than first name.
we are also seeing this as a high request in UK.
Teachers and other members of staff, too. Every role except "student" and those based on student.
real issue in France !
Je ne suis pas d'accord
je ne suis pas d'accord!!
It’s definitely an issue in Germany and requires lot of convincing and „funny“ workarounds in the Implementation process. It needs changing.
indeed, in France this is a real issue too. Teachers and trainers really don't like it and find it completely inappropriate that the pupils should know their firstname, and even worse, should see their profile with their firstname being the only displayed information when projecting itslearning in class.
