Læring i eget tempo - kunngjøring/oppslag/Self-paced Learning: Support for Course Introduction / Static Information

English version:
I really like "Self-paced Learning". However, I think it's missing one important thing: there should be a way to add an introduction above the plans, providing a static explanation of how students or learners are expected to work through the course when it is designed for independent learning.

I'm not saying this needs to be available in every version, but it should be something that can be enabled when needed. It would create a middle ground between the Class and Self-paced Learning experiences. The Class view has a stronger focus on announcements and updates, whereas in an e-learning module you typically want a more permanent introduction or guidance for learners instead.

Hi, and thanks for sharing this idea. We do plan to allow teachers to add announcements in self-paced courses.
In the meantime, it is possible to edit the course description block to the left and add relevant instructions for the course here.

    Thanks,
