Currently, if I add a Google file for my students to access, or if students submit a Google file in an assignment, the file is automatically converted to a word/excel/powerpoint web file. It would be wonderful if this document was able to be opened/accessed directly in itslearning as a live Google file.

Hi Bent, I’m happy to hear you like the latest Google integration. For back to school this year we released a couple of, if I may say so :-), really nice cloud integrations. We’ll definitely continue this work, and building more options for students to upload, link and create files when submitting an assignment is part of this.
Please have a look at the latest cloud enhancements here:

Please note that the O365 & Google cloud integration must be enabled by your itslearning administrator: Admin > Edit global settings > Cloud services.
I have seen some Google updates... I can now add a file as a link to Google, which essentially adds a Google document to my resources - which is great! I would love for this option to also apply to students submitting an assignment; it is still converting Google files to Office 365 files in this case!
Hi Brent, for back to school this year you’ll experience both enhanced cloud integrations (e.g. Google Drive), a new shareable assignment tool with a great new annotation tool, the possibility to create Office Online documents inside itslearning for e.g. collaborative writing, and several other enhancements to itslearning.
