Automatic generation of mathematical tasks with solutions

Would it be possible to integrate task customization using random numbers in the "Test" resource? There should be an option to add variables as placeholders in the respective tests, which can be given a min and max value. Furthermore, the result would have to be stored in a formula that takes up the variables and provides the correct result for checking. When a student activates the task, the program generates random numbers based on the min and max limits and stores the result. In this way, each student receives an individual task.

Alternatively, you could also upload a CSV file in which various variable-result pairs are stored. The program would then have to continue one line in the CSV each time it was called.

    Hi

Thanks for your input. There are currently no plans to extend the test tool with numeric-specific question types. This has been mentioned from time to time so we are aware of it.

We'll leave the idea open for voting to understand the need.

    Thanks,
    The itslearning Product team
