Extend the setting for the e-mail notification: "Application for enrollment in course XY"

Einstellung bei der E-Mail benachrichtung erweitern: "Bewerbung zur EInschreibung in Kurs XY"

Wir in Bremen haben vielleicht ein spezielles Problem: wir haben viele Kurse für Lehrkräfte zur Kooperation. In diese Kurse schreiben sich in der Regel pro Schulhalbjahr rund 200 neue Referendar:innen ein. Außerdem kommen regelmäßig Lehrkräfte in diese Kurse, die von deren Existenz noch nichts wussten. Die Lehrkräfte müssen die Aufnahme in diese Kurse beantragen. Das generiert jedes Mal eine Email-Benachrichtigung pro Person. Diese Mail bekommen rund 10 Personen, die als Lehrkraft im Kurs sind. Das Ergebnis ist, dass diese rund 10 Lehrkräfte täglich über das ganze Schuljahr hinweg Mails bekommen, mit der Info, dass jemand auf Freischaltung wartet. Es sind hunderte Mails, die viele Postfächer überfüllen. Zum Schuljahresbeginn und Halbjahreswechsel sind es täglich dutzende Mails.

Laut Itslearning gibt es für diese Art von Email-Benachrichtigung keine Einstellung in meinem Profil. Ich kann diese also nicht abbestellen. Daher schlage ich als Idee vor, die Email-Einstellungen auch auf diese Funktion zu erweitern.

We in Bremen may have a special problem: we have many courses for teachers on cooperation. Around 200 new trainee teachers usually enroll in these courses every half year. In addition, teachers regularly come to these courses who didn't know anything about their existence. Teachers must apply to be admitted to these courses. This generates one email notification per person each time. About 10 people who are teachers in the course receive this email. The result is that these 10 or so teachers receive emails every day throughout the school year with the information that someone is waiting for approval. There are hundreds of emails that overflow many mailboxes. At the beginning of the school year and at the end of the six-month period, there are dozens of emails every day.

According to Itslearning, there is no setting in my profile for this type of email notification. So I can't unsubscribe. So I suggest as an idea to extend the email settings to this feature as well

    Thanks for your input. We understand this is annoying to the teachers.

    We hope to prioritise work to improve our course catalogoue features soon, and will take this into consideration then. Currently the course catalogue system is not connected to our notifications or modern messaging systems, hence the forced email to avoid teachers missing this information. Usually it is considered important, but we understand that might not be the case in your scenario.
