Reading Passage Test Question Type

On tests the teachers would like to have a reading passage set up on the left side of the screen and have multiple questions on the right, or have the passage stay the same and have the questions change on the right side.

They told me that this is the way our state standardized tests and ECA exams look on the computer.  They also said it will help annotate texts if they don't have to annotate the same text multiple times.

    Admin response

    Hi Michele,

Thanks for sharing your teacher’s idea. We hear this request from time to time, but not so often that we’ve developed support for it in the test tool. The #1 priority for the test tool now is to finalize a shareable, mobile version. When this is done we’ll look into other needs, like your request :-)   Please read more on the roadmap: http://www.itslearning.eu/roadmap

You can of cause combine text & test in the test tool today (and utilize the test-mode browser at the same time) e.g. by inserting a link to the text or reusing the same text on multiple questions. Hope one of these solutions will work fine for your teachers.

    Best regards
