hartelijk dank

Google translate:

the new test module. Rename and keep old test module.

Misses different functionalities and will indicate the difference from the user.

1 Suppose there is an official test for PTA exam class. With the old test module you immediately saw who was logged in to the test. With the new test module, this is only visible when a student has submitted. Only then are the students visible who are busy. The students who have not started are not visible. The latter was the case with the old one and you would immediately set off the alarm bells with an exam test, because there are no candidates in the test.

2 With the old test, you can link learning objectives to the test and the questions. After the test has been taken by the students, a link to an assessment report appears on the start page of the test. From this report, you as a teacher could immediately see which students mastered certain questions and which did not. Eg RTTI learning objectives. This allows you as a teacher to work directly action-oriented. Also plays a major role in its use in the learning paths to achieve differentiation as a result of analysis. In the new test module you can link learning objectives to the test and then link them to the questions as with the old one. When the test is finished and the test is then copied to another class, the learning objectives are gone from the questions. They are still in the general part of the settings. When the test has been taken, there is no assessment report on the front page of the test, but the learning objectives are also not included in the general learning objectives overview. Nothing happens to it.

In the end, all keys from the old ones are automatically converted to the new ones........I'm heartbroken about the consequences. This is because this old test module has been incorporated into all learning paths and provides feedback on achieved goals in a total overview and per test. That would then disappear completely and only provide numerical feedback.

I hope you can convey my concern to the testing module developers about the upcoming updates to it. A good function is quickly lost. Especially when analysis becomes increasingly important in schools.

This should not happen in the new test module. There, the analysis options should be more extensive.

thank you

    Hi

Thanks for a long and well explained issue. To address some of your concerns:

    • We do not have plans to automatically migrate old tests. This means that for now, they will stay just as they are, and will continue to work like before. At some point it will not be possible to reuse them, and the teacher will have to either migrate or create a new test using the new tool. This is controlled by the teacher, to ensure we do not disrupt ongoing learning processes.

    • We have plans to let you see who did not submit, this is part of planned work.

    • We will review how the new tool works with learning objectives, it seems there might be some scenarios we have missed, or something has gone wrong since the functionality was added. What you describe should mostly work, although we do not (yet) have the learning objective assessment report within the test tool.

    Thanks,
    The itslearning product team
