Align the app's capabilities with the web version

Both iPadOS and iOS:

  • Access to all itslearning features (own files etc.)

  • Search-bar for Courses and Messages( !!)

  • Access to Groups (!)

  • Ability to send Files in direct chat messages (implementation of Files-App (native FileManager to import files into itslearning) using the selection sheet)

  • simpler overview in a given Course -> eliminate unnecessary intermediate steps (similar to Web-Interface)

  • (maybe as a bonus treat :) Ability to scan a document using the native document scaner when uploading to Resources or attaching to Assignments both teacher and student side

specifically iPadOS:

  • support for Split View

  • support to use itslearning-App as Slide Over App

  • better use of screen real estate e.g. in Courses

I suppose many of the points I mentioned apply to the android app, too. But I'm speaking manly from an iOS/iPadOS user's perspective. These drawbacks of the itslearning app especially came up since we've got funding for iPads for every school member. Thanks for your commitment to making a great LMS for us. Appreciate it.

Thank you for your feedback on the itslearning app

We are monitoring feedback on the app to decide which areas can be improved in the future. The intent with the app is to provide quick access to the most used and useful areas of itslearning on the app, and not replicate all functionality from the web in the app.

The itslearning web application is also responsive, and we advice that you login through your phone´s browser if there are areas you cannot fully complete through the app.

But thank you for your feedback - appreciated.
