I have seen the demo of the new planner: https://itslearning.com/global/campaign/itsconvention/
The new planner does not add more value to us. It adds more clicks and hide content deeper in the plan. You have not direct access to resources; you have to click twice.
A lot of our content will not have a meaningfully image and therefore you will leave it without a image.
Do not replace the existing planner with the new one. Let it be an option for the teacher to decide what here it make sense for them with the existing planner or the new one.

Dear Jan-Peter
That is true that you need to leave something behind to build something new and better, but then itslearning also need to listen to the Higher Educations Needs i.e. Universities. The new planner only focusing on aesthetics and needs in primary schools and forgetting the functionality and ease of use in Higher Education.
If you want to create something better, you have to leave something old behind. I would like itslearning to focus on developing the new planner. Of course, useful functions of the old planner should also be implemented in the new planner.
Dear Itslearning.
That is a major concern. It does not make sense to be forced to add images to all plans. That's not going to happen to quite a few teachers.
It is therefore important that it is only an option and that the table view can still be selected as default.
Hi, thanks for sharing your thoughts about the new planner.
We are sorry to hear that you don't think the new planner will add more value to your students. In the demo you saw, we did not show the table view of the planner. The idea is - most likely - to keep the toggle between table and the new list view, so that teachers and students can choose their preferred view. This is something we are considering for the moment.
When it comes to the usage of images, we really believe that making plans more visually interesting is important to students, but to some degree, we share your concern. That's why we are looking into different ways in supporting teachers to find relevant images.
Thanks,
the itslearning Product team
