  1. As we review all ideas it may take some time before they appear. Unfortunately we cannot comment on all ideas.
  2. Please search for your idea first and vote for it! Do not create new suggestions if they already exist. It reduces your influence.
  3. Unclear or inappropriate suggestions are removed. We may combine your ideas with similar ideas.
  4. We only use the information you share for the purposes of improving itslearning. We want to keep the ideas portal dynamic and relevant, to do this we remove older suggestions.
    • Ideas that have no public engagement after three years, that were not selected for development, are removed.

Make the conference function work with something other than Adobe Flash Player

The conference function in ressources is a great idea - unfortunately, it only works with Adobe Flash Player. This player won't be supported from 2021 on by most browsers and - most importantly - it's not supported by the iPad. Our students will get iPads and I would really like to use the conference structure, especially with distance learning. Is there any other way to make it work than Flash Player?

    Thank you for your idea. Adobe is planning to end-of life their Flash technology. Specifically, they will stop updating and distributing the Flash player at the end of 2020. Flash has been widely used across several industries and businesses and is also being used in the Conference Tool.

    Therefor the old conference tool will be discontinued from January 1st, 2021. There are multiple alternatives to this in itslearning such as Zoom, MS Teams or Google Meet. Customers who have configured an integration with Office 365, have the option to set-up meetings in Teams as an alternative. A similar option is being developed for Google Meet and is scheduled for release this year.
