Linking tiles

As an exploration teacher, who teaches all grades in a K8 school, it is hard for the lower elementary and primary students to navigate leaving their homeroom tile to go to the home page and find the exploration tile they need to go to. I will say the navigation makes sense for my older students. It would be nice if the younger students in their homeroom tile could click on a link to connect them to my tile. Then it’s a 1 click navigation for them. While I like the working function of this platform and understand how it flows, I do think it’s too high level for 1st and 2nd graders. I’m guessing your intent wasn’t necessarily to have students that young using it, though. Thank you for your time.

    Hi.

Thanks for the idea. We have had several projects over the years to try to make itslearning better for younger students. But in the end it turns out to be very difficult to find a good way of doing it without literally building a second platform. We understand that the current navigation is not ideal for K1 and K2, as these are young kids with limited experience and reading abilities. We are hoping that gradual improvement and simplification of the navigation will at least help over time.

We'll leave the idea open on the ideas portal for voting.

    Thanks,
    The itslearning Product Team.
