Please share your ideas with the community, and contribute by voting and commenting on other ideas – the more votes the more influence! We consider all ideas when planning future work. Please write in English. For support, please contact your school/organization.

  1. As we review all ideas it may take some time before they appear. Unfortunately we cannot comment on all ideas.
  2. Please search for your idea first and vote for it! Do not create new suggestions if they already exist. It reduces your influence.
  3. Unclear or inappropriate suggestions are removed. We may combine your ideas with similar ideas.
  4. We only use the information you share for the purposes of improving itslearning. We want to keep the ideas portal dynamic and relevant, to do this we remove older suggestions.
    • Ideas that have no public engagement after three years, that were not selected for development, are removed.
    • Ideas older than three years and not selected for implementation are removed.

Digital badges for teachers and students

Digital badges offer recognition for achievement and can motivate students and teachers to accomplish tasks and complete projects.

    Hi,

    No doubt that badges can be a good pedagogical tool and it is something we have had several (quite loud ;-) discussions about in the product department. So far, we have no concrete plans for implementing badges – but that does not mean it will not show up in the future :-). Although we have not implemented a badge feature in itslearning, there is of cause nothing stopping teachers from applying badges and other gamification elements in their teaching. A badge can be a smiley attached to a homework. Happy teaching – with or without badges :-) .

    highly agree.... students can gain sense of accomplishment as well as it also motivate other students to complete the task and assignments and get recognition.

    Would love to see the integration of Certificate / Badges for students that completed the course through Itslearning. How about integration with Accredible?

    As a district attempting to implement badging, it makes complete and total sense that the LMS we use-itsLearning be the vehicle for digital badges. Otherwise, the process is really too cumbersome because it requires a separate place for the badges to live.  It is disappointing that itsLearning is not moving forward with what seems to be a very positive way to reward teachers and students.
