As a teacher, I often copy materials from a sandbox/course to some or all of my other courses. I discovered when working virtually in the spring that despite my having set up my Plan and attached resources with the exact deadline date that I wanted for every course, it would reset when I copied it over. This meant that I would have to go into EVERY one of my 8-10 courses and find the copied assignment just to change the deadline for each assignment. It would often take me 2-3 minutes per course/assignment due to the slow navigation/loading time, resulting in hours of extra work. It would be very beneficial to either keep the default as ALL material in the course is copied over exactly as is (including the deadline) or to add an option to keep/clear deadline when copying over (just like the option for clearing dates when copying to other courses).

This would be a grat feature. I am spending e great amoutnt of to plan my template course and do not want to change deadlines in all the reoster courses espiaclly when I have 10 classes and 8 assignemtns with deadlines.
I would love to see this! This year the way we had to code students and make courses made it so many of my teachers had a course for their Brick and Mortar general kids, BM sheltered students, BM ELL, at home general kids, at home sheltered students, at home ELL. That is a lot of courses to copy an assignment to and have the change the date and other settings for each one.
Thank you for you feedback. While we´re not considering any immediate changes to this, we see how something like this can be a time-saver when working across multiple courses. We will keep the idea open for now and collect additional feedback.
