As we build our course and put items into resources, much of that appears as follow up task on the overview page. While that's nice on the surface, we are finding our kids just clicking the items there and turning in very weak work. They are skipping the other items in the resources that have information for them. If we could turn off follow up task on the overview page it would slow our students down and allow them to work through the content that was built for them. That helps get them what they need before they get an assignment or other task.

Hi Kyle,
Thank you for your idea. We are aware that in some practices the task list can have its downsides. We are researching some changes to the course overview page that should address this. Currently we cannot say when this will be released.
