  1. As we review all ideas it may take some time before they appear. Unfortunately we cannot comment on all ideas.

  3. Unclear or inappropriate suggestions are removed. We may combine your ideas with similar ideas.
  4. We only use the information you share for the purposes of improving itslearning. We want to keep the ideas portal dynamic and relevant, to do this we remove older suggestions.
    • Ideas that have no public engagement after three years, that were not selected for development, are removed.
    • Ideas older than three years and not selected for implementation are removed.
    • Ideas can be resubmitted at any time.

Add field "Middle name" to user accounts

In The Netherlands lots of people have names like "van Dam" or "de Boer". Since there's no middle name field in itslearning, names are sorted incorrectly in views. Currently "van Dam" can be found under "V" (instead of "D") and "de Boer" is under "D" (instead of "B").

Work-around for this issue is writing the last name as "Dam; van" or "Boer; de". However, this causes the names to look bad in the upper right corner. In my case it shows "Haan; de, Martin" or "Martin, Haan; de". An extra field should solve both the sorting and the representation issue.

    This is also useful in the US. We have over 200,00 students and many of the names repeat, even within a single school. Adding a Middle Name field would make it easier for us to distinguish which student we are looking at.
