Ability to change student profile pictures and prevent them from changing it again Merged

At the moment students can change their profile pictures to use inappropriate or offensive images and teachers cannot intervene. It would be useful if we could change/remove their profile picture and prevent further changes.

Worst idea ever, stuck with elementary school photo and is now in highschool. I have group projects where people see my photo which I never want to see the light of day. People are laughing and making fun of my photo and its very embarrassing and stressing me out. I shouldn't have to pay the price because because some people made a dumb decision.

Worst Idea Ever. Why should others have to pay the consequences because of some dumb decisions some kids made. I am stuck with the same picture I took in elementary school. It's embarrassing and I feel as if we should be able to at least delete our photos if we can't change them to a new one.

I disagree completely, we should be able to change our profile pic. We can change it if we want, i dont want to have the same bland profile pic as everyone else. If teachers can change theirs, why cant we change ours?

As a student i think we should at least be able to remove it. I was in 6th grade when I put my profile picture to what it is, I am a freshman in highschool now and its embarrassing

I think we should be able to change our photos because I had a picture of me in elementary school and it was embarrassing because I thought it was cute at first but now I have to stick with that photo please give us the chance to change our photos.

I don't see how making a profile picture should be restricted, the inappropriate pictures on our laptops are restricted, so it doesn't hurt anything! I feel like we should be given the option to make our own choices.

I dislike this idea because I had an old photo as my profile picture when I was little and now the action is blocked and I can’t change it back to normal and I’m stuck with an old photo from elementary.

I believe this is not a good idea because us students should have a right to change our profile pictures while I do agree the ones with inappropriate pictures should not be given this right and it should be immediately taken away from them

Hi, system administrator can disable access to “personal settings” for specific users or profiles. This will prevent users from changing their profile picture. We’re looking into other options for setting profile pictures, e.g. an option to specify a "base url" for profile pictures on a site level.

Thomas that is a fantastic idea, a notification of a profile image change would really help the admin and experience of the platform.

    This is a good idea,

please also read my idea on ADMINISTRATOR's being able to intercept messages using the live type messaging via It's Learning and its associated app.

I support this wish. It would also be great, if the mentor would  receive a note simultaneously that some of her/his students have uploaded such images.

It would be nice if their picture was the one in RDS or PBIS and was automatically rolled over from those sources.

This is a good idea, especially from a safeguarding perspective and protecting students from offensive imagery.
