Student Journaling feature (internal blogging)

I envision a student journaling assignment where they can go to a page that is the date and time (or block of time like week 1 defined as a time range) and post an image, short video, and written response. Teacher would have feedback. Optional student feedback activated opt-in by teachers for certain classes. Over time, this would probably end up looking like a standard blog. Teachers could attach a rubric, rating, and give audio and/or written feedback. Then after a month or so, there would be an ability for teacher and student to add a reflection piece, linking the earlier project and more recent project. What are the likes, notice improvements, any iterative processes. Finally, this entire journal could be exported as an HTML/CSS File to the student's own local computer so they could keep their own portfolio (minus other student named comments perhaps...)
