View participant list - number of participants

Participant list. We want more choice in the drop-down list where you select how many participants you want to view. Today is the options, 10, 25, 50 or 100. In university courses with many participants we would require a higher number, such as 150 or 200.

    Admin Response

    Hi Lotta

Due to performance issues and a couple of other things, we’ve can’t show a list with e.g. 500 students. We are however in a process of creating a better user experience in itslearning, through a combination of a design refresh, better workflow and improved tools. We started releasing these changes for back to school this year, and we’ve followed up with new releases almost every second week since. We’re continuing to work our way throughout the platform, and a better display and navigation of search results is on the list (not necessarily depending on a new search engine).

We’re focusing our resources on our users most important tasks, and are therefore not prioritizing minor UI changes or changes to features that we’re going to change in the near future. We believe it would not be optimal use of our resources (for both us and our users) to fix minor UI issues when we most likely would have to scrap those changes in the near future due to larger changes.

So when we say no implement this idea, we’re saying no to implement it in the present list view – but yes to keep it in mind when we’re doing larger changes to the list view and the display of search results.

It’s of cause not easy to say no implement good ideas, but I hope you understand the point I’m trying to make :-)

    Best regards

It should "remember" your preference as well. And you should be able to browse pages from the top of the list, not just the bottom. Goes for all pages with long lists of users (or courses, or projects). Now we have to scroll down each time to select page 2, 3 and so on.
